Staying with 4.6 ???

Will any major problems crop up in the near future if I do not upgrade to 4.7?
I updated to 4.7 on my main computer - but not on my older one. I love some of the newer features but the Render Tab area is like confusing the snawt out of me. I loved the way it was, fairly easy to understand under one tab. While technically my skill set is still that of a newb even after over a year playing with it - had I just now started I'd be pulling my hair out - LOL
I haven't explored everything yet, but so far the render tab is my only disappointment (knock on wood).
BUT - hey - thanks guys and gals responsible for DAZ and it being free. Otherwise I would not get to enjoy the fun of exploring and working with 3D art. I am very much appreciative - and also to you who volunteer help here on the forums as well.

While this isn't answering your question, a note about the render tab: Click on the Editor pane, then click on All. Although it will look a little different, I think most of the parameters you used to see should now still be visible, except for a few that you'll have to click on the Advanced tab to see.

Basically they just got divided up and grouped into categories, so you have the option of just clicking one of those categories to see only a few parameters, for example if you always mess with the Gamma settings and nothing else, you could just click on "Gamma" to see those without having to look through everything to find it.

While it wasn't addressing my question, it was still very helpful info - thanks Sean.

There are new features and bug fixes, and on the new Render Settings in particular there may be future enhancements that depend on the new layout, but 4.6 will still work, and files created in 4.7 will work in 4.6 (except for any new features, of course).
