I have purchased product that has been removed from the store and now the listed product in DAZ has slowly being removed. First it was missing textures, yesterday items began to disappear. I use this product alot so how can I get it reinstalled? I know this has been discussed before but I was unable to search for the topic in the forums.
The product in question is "The Chamber of Sorrows".

Hmmm ... even if Daz is removing it from the store, if you purchased it then it should be available in your product library : go to 'my account', 'product library', type in the name in the search box, click on the appropriate link, and you should have a page to download the zip file. It might be wise to keep a copy of it for future use.
One: I can see the product in my library.
Two: I can see the product page in the store.
Three: I can even see the product page when I'm not logged in.
Conclusion: You're wrong.
It is still in the store. You may not see it in the store, because by default, the Daz store pages hide items you own.
Well, something is amiss since the store page comes up with the Oops! lizzard page product can't be found. So, I uninstalled the product with DAZ IM and reinstalled it.... nothing showed in DAZ. Next I uninstalled it then reinstalled it with DazCentral, again nothing. The screen shot shows the product props and textures as blank icons. Attempting to load a prop does nothing. I also tried to update the meta data to do avail.
Ideas?
I did see it in the store a bit ago so I downloaded a zip file for backup.
The link that Barbult just posted works fine
And it takes me straight there, even though I have already bought it.
Then you misspelled the URL.
Hmmm ... it is not a good idea to use both DIM and Daz Central ... did you change something recently? Is anything else acting funny?
Other than one or two Daz updates via DazCentral no. Same PC and hardware. It was installed via IM originally and that's what I used for the uninstall. DazCentral doesn't have an uninstall feature that I saw and that was the last install of the product. I did see a Daz error of missing files for a new Gen 8.1 male charater that hadn't shown before. I'm wondering if files are being overwritten or corrupted somehow.
This is an old Poser format product so have tried the Content Library pane and look under Poser Formats?
The product was not listed anywhere except under Content Library -> Products. Nothing shows in the listing either other than it is installed. Searching for say the Altar in Content Library -> Props brings the item up but it's blank and will not load. Nothing shows in Materials or Scenes. All of this is under the Poser Formats directory.
No, if you first install something with DIM and then later also install it with Connect, it may cause problems, even if you have uninstalled it with DIM before installing with Connect. That's especially true with products that have files in the Poser library, in my experience.

If the files are installed with DIM or manually, they can be found in;
\Runtime\Libraries\Character\VaL TCOS\
\Runtime\Libraries\Pose\VaL TCOS\
\Runtime\Libraries\Props\VaL TCOS\
To commiserate with the creator of this thread, I am having a similar issue with Thursday's Child teddy bear.
I recieved a reply from Tech Support today on fixing this issue. The fix worked. Here is what they laid out to fix the issue.
Hi Robert,
1) In the Smart Content pane, right-click on the product and choose Uninstall. (I had to unistall using Install Manager)
2) In the Content Library pane, go to Products > and then find the product alphabetically.
3) Right-click on the main thumbnail and choose Delete. (DAZ does this automatically as I didn't see the icon after the uninstall)
4) Install the product through Daz Install Manager.
5) In Daz Studio, right-click on the Content Library pane.
6) Click on Content DB Maintenance.
7) Choose Re-Import Metadata
8) ONLY check the box next to the broken product. Make sure all other checkboxes are unchecked.
9) Click Accept.
10) Does the product now work correctly for you?
Emma
You have to delete the Product before uninstalling, otherwise you won't find it in the alphanumeric list. Deleting a Product removes any associated metadata. Installing again with DIM will also reinstate the metadata, so no need to re-import it. Also, you can re-import metadata in DIM from the right-click menu, instead of waiting for the list to fill in DB Maintenance.
when considering the state of today's social and cultural shifts, this response is very telling.
i'll leave the analysis as an exercise for the reader.
