Why does my Genesis 8 female look like this now?

Hi all. I recently had my main computer shut down on me with windows 10 on it. I was forced to use my older computer with Windows 7 on it. I installed Daz 4.15 and 4.12 into it. I came here to my products list and downloaded some of my purchased stuff including Genesis 8 starter essintuals and head and body morphs. I got all I wanted and installed everything like I have for years. When I opened Daz and loaded the Genesis 8 female character, she came back looking like this. Her hip crest is way out there and her legs have no shape and her chest area is way to wide. Her face does not look anything like it does on my main computer. All genesis 8 female characters I load that use her have this problem. The faces don't look anything like they are suppose to. I know Daz released a Genesis 8.1 that comes with the download and installs with her. Could this be causing her to look so pitiful? I hate her look now. Is everybody having this same look or is something wrong with mine? I downloaded the set two times and installed it. No change. Those hips are horrific! Even her basic wear bottoms don't fit. They are going into her stomach at the top. My Genesis 3 female looks exactly the way she should. It is just Genesis 8 female. Can anyone tell me why this is? I am including a open GL render of her so you can see the difference in what she should look like! If this is the "New" Genesis 8 look, I don't think I will be useing her anymore. I have bought lots of characters for her here and they do not look like their promo pics. I will just go back to using Genesis 3. So sad.

Here is Genesis 3. She looks normal.
I don't know why it happens, but sometimes, morphs from other sets that have errors or are installed wrong, get applied by default when you load in G8 base. Have you looked through your list of morphs in the parameters tab to see if any are applied that shouldn't be? If there are and if you can figure out what set they are part of, you could try removing and reinstalling them from a fresh download. Be sure to delete the original downloaded file in DIM if you use it to install content. Otherwise, DIM will just install the file it already has downloaded (unless you have DIM already set to delete them after installing them.).
That happened to me once before. My main character would load with huge boobs and shorter than usual. I found the dials that were connected with it and it was under the pose controls for the main character. I would have to move the dial back to zero and it would go to normal. I have gone through a lot of the settings and shaping and found nothing so far. I will continue and review any characters I have installed. Hope fully this will be the problem and I can get it back to normal. Thanks for the suggestion.
OK...I have examined every single dial in all the morphs for all G8 characters and all of them are set at zero. Tons of them. I just scrolled the entire list of them. Nothing. Does anyone else have this body and face for their G8 main character> Maybe this is a change Daz did to update the character. This started when I redownloaded the G8 and G8.1 and installed them. I have not installed any other characters for G8 recently. I have been working exclusively with G3 since I have so many characters I have made with her. My G8 has just been sitting there unused since I installed Daz 4.15. Today is the first time I have loaded her in a while. When I did I got this look. The mid section seems like it is smaller than the upper section and the legs are a funny shape. When I load the "Growing up" shape morphs and select a younger age the body sizes way down but the hip handles stay the same and it looks like wings!!!!!!! So I won't be able to use that age selector anymore. I tried to reduce the hip crest setting in the shaping section and it is at zero now. I can go up with the dial and the hip crest is in a different location as these things. Also the hip handle adjustment is also in a different location on the body.
G2 Male does this for me as well. I zeroed him, then saved him as a scene subset which loads regular. But still it's annoying because I'm unsure what causes the deformations to be added with the default G2M DAZ character
For future reference, you can easily see if any morphs are dialed in by clicking on "currently used" at the top of the left side of parameters. It does sound like there is a morph that is loading with your figure (Some characters are accidentally sold with the morph set to load at 100% instead of zero. Once you find the culprit, you may want to submit a ticket), but I can't see the pic you uploaded of your G8 for some reason. If you don't see anything dialed in, maybe try unhiding hidden morphs by right-clicking on the parameter tab, going to preferences, and selecting "Show hidden properties."
Also, your G3 doesn't look right to me. She has kind of a babyface and button nose there. The regular G3 looks a bit older and has a larger nose with a higher ridge. Your G3 also has a smaller waist.
There is a nice "how to fix this" here:

OK...I have found the culpit! It is a freebie character by Dream Escape called Erika! God knows where I got her from...lol. Her head and body morph dials are there and set to 100. When I slide them to zero I get Gen 8 back to normal. I tried to delete the morph dials and they came back when I reopened Gen 8 basic character. So I went after the character itself. Characters come in three parts. Data,People and runtime. I went to people first and found the character folder which has the .duf file and deleted the folder. I couldn't see going after the runtime folder because it contains only the textures for her and they do not come into play here. So, I went after the Data files. I found her under data>Daz 3D>Genesis 8>Female>morphs>Dream Escape>Erika. I deleted that folder so it could not find her morphs anymore. It worked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The dials are gone and the morphs are gone. Any of you out there who want to make note of this proceedure, you can because you may need it someday. Get rid of the morph data and it will fix Genesis 8 female basic. I went through all kinds of editing of paremeter dial settings first and it always came back. Then I realized I needed to go after the "cause" of the problem....morphs...data! Here she is back to normal.
WELCOME HOME GENESIS 8 AND 8.1.....
Good advise but did not apply in this case. I tried all of this and none of it worked. I had to go get her out!...lol. Thanks anyway.
Hello!
I reported the problem of the "Ericka by DreamEscape" freebie in a Renderosity forum and asked for this freebie to be removed, I hope to be read soon by someone from the Renderosity staff.
As a seller at Rendo, I care about the site's reputation for quality.
In case someone with the same problem comes looking - The fix.
Obviously one should use the correct base figure, Genesis 8.1 Female is used in the example.
If the procedure doesn't work, one has multiple copies of the problem morph(s) installed or maybe the instructions were not followed.
To fix any ill-behaving (non-zero default value) morphs, do as follows;
1. Open DS and load "Genesis 8.1 Basic Female" (to an empty scene)
2. Right Click at Parameters Tab->Preferences->Choose "Show Hidden Properties" (part 3 zeroes only 'visible' dials)
3. Right Click at Parameters Tab->Zero->Zero Figure (Zeroes the value of all the 'visible' dials)
4. Right Click at Parameters Tab->Memorize->Memorize Figure (Sets the current value of all the dials as their default value)
5. Edit->Save As->Support Asset->Save Modified Assets (Writes the changed default value to the morph files that were changed)
When saving "Modified Assets" DS shows a dialog and asks for confirmation;
"The following file(s) will be permanently modified:" - "Accept/Cancel" - Choose "Accept"
Didn't download this originally as I didn't like the shape, so just had a look at it, there are a few issues but for a first attempt at a custom character morph they didn't do to badly, especially as they have separate head and body morphs, and on a character about an inch taller than G8F.
DSF's need the value changed, however they don't have any rigging adjustments in them, so that will need done, and the morphs aren't "grouped" under Actor. The DUF character preset doesn't load the eyelash geograft, and the DSF files have been moved since the preset was made as you get 2 missing file warnings when loading the DUF.
10-15 minutes is about all it should take me to fix this character.
rosseliani, don't go thinking Rendo as a place to find quality, I've fixed enough G8 content sold there to know their QA sucks.
Lets be honest when it comes to QA none of the stores cover themselves in glory, to much content for them to deal with, no idea what they are looking for (or at) to start with, and too many content makers that are just as clueless.
