Second My Library

I have finally reached over 90 gbs in my DAZ Studio Library.
Wish to start another.
In poser all that is needed is to create a folder, name it, and include a subfolder Runtime.
DAZ is structured differently.
Is it possible to have DAZ itself create a second library, or is there a list of the default folders
that must be included?
Thank you.

Just create an empty folder, and call it any name, like My New Library or My DAZ Content, the name doesn't matter

If you use DIM, just add the path to the new folder in the Installation tab in Settings, select it, and get DIM to install there.

If you download and install ZIP files yourself from the Store here, the top level in the Zip file is called 'Content', simply empty all of the folders in that top level folder into your new library folder, where they will merge (assuming that you are using a PC)

Any folders that DAZ Studio needs for future saves, like the 'data' folder will be created by DAZ Studio.

The step Jimmy missed is right-click on DAZ Studio Formats and/or Poser Formats in the Content Library Pane and choose the Add ... Directory option, then select your new folder. You can use the same folders for Poser and DS, they don't need their own copies of files they can both use.

If you do that with DIM, what happens with the product updates that are coming all the time? It doesn't keep track of the fact that the updated product is in the other directory does it?

DIM keeps track of where it installed the items. If you have "Install Updates to:" set to "Respective Installed Location", which is the default, then it will install the updates to the location the item is currently installed.

If you are using Poser and the DSON importer I think you will have to add the runtime in your new Daz Library to Poser. It gets created at the top level within the Daz library directory, just add it like any other Poser runtime.
