Glasses are appearing off the model after export. Maddening!

Okay, so, basically that.

I have characters that I'm trying to put sunglasses on, but every time I export them in FBX and view them in the Windows 10 3D Viewer (or any other program, for that matter), the glasses always appear off to the side or way above the head, never positioned on the face. I've tried many female and male models and many different packs of glasses. It happens every time, no matter what. What would cause this?

I use iClone and sometimes Daz models with props imported directly as a FBX from Daz into iClone have this very same issue - some props with a model fly off and are not positioned where they are supposed to be. Very annoying!

I believe it happens if the original Daz provider hasn’t followed absolutely correct naming conventions when they made their item and while Daz is not particularly worried, other software may not be so happy.

I have a fix for this problem for iClone, which is to export your model with props out of Daz as Collada. Then, convert this Collada file back into FBX using something like Blender (import the Collada file into Blender and export the model again as FBX).

Now, I need my models in FBX, as iClone doen't import Collada, so I don't know if the conversion back to FBX is part of the fix or not, but it is worth trying this to see if it works for your situation.
