Hi all
well new UI is top, good job
though there still a problem for me
in fact two but perhaps are they linked (?)
and it's weird nobody else had this problem...
> its the 32 bit version of Ds4.7
> the dzimageio.dll is not recognise
> tried uninstall / reinstall : nothing change
message is "not a valid dll or build for another version of Ds"
> tried re download > same
> however Ds seems to work ...?
> so let's playing...
> after a short time ( about 10 minutes) every thing in the main preview vanish
and sometimes (not always but really often)it is accompagned by a total freeze of Ds
> one V4 loaded or even five cubes(with no subdiv.), it's the same!
> let's see what's happen in the task manager

so have to "kill" Ds
dzimageio.dll > must be deleted ???
is it a "mispackage" of Ds4.7win 32 ?

If you uninstall DS is the dzimageio.dll file still in \Program Files\DAZ 3D\Studio 4\plugins?
Are you running Windows XP? I believe XP has problems with some of the newer functions. AFAICR it shouldn't cause the problems you're having, it just means you can't use all the image formats that would work on Win7.
thanks for yours responses
@ Richard
no, uninstalling Ds uninstalls dzimageio.dll

Cannot load library E:\DAZStudio4\plugins\dzimageio.dll: La procédure spécifiée est introuvable."
@fixmyPC
yes I run XP Service Pack 3
> what does means "AFAICR " ? I'm not very friendly with englishes acronyms

and I don't see the relation with image formats?
AFAICR = As far as I recall.
@ JimmyC
thank you... I remember now!
@ fixmyPC
I'm sorry, I apologise : I understand now (... my very approximative english....!!):
"it shouldn’t cause the problems you’re having, it just means you can’t use all the image formats that would work on Win7."
means "I think known problems beetwen new DS and XP have nothing to do wjth your problem" ?
is'nt it ?
at least don't you think the bad dll is, may be, something like a 64bit one packaged
in a 32bit version
playing with, it seems to me that the freeze problem has also something to do with the use of the univeral trans/rot tool... ?
The "dzimageio.dll" file is not corrupt. Windows XP uses old code to read this file, code which has changed with the newer Windows releases. Basically it is unable to read some image formats.
