Character in dForce Betty Bot 6000 Outfit for Genesis 8 and 8.1 Females?

SeraSera Posts: 1,675

I love the new dForce Betty Bot 6000 Outfit for Genesis 8 and 8.1 Females outfit! It shows that people are paying attention to the forums. But what is the character used in the promos? Seems like that would be important for getting a similar effect. Does anyone know? I seem to recall someone suggesting characters from another site for this sort of style, but I don't remember any of the details. sad

I textured betty bot. I made the skin (if i remember right only for face, the fingers from outfit). You can use with any shapes. Also made fitting face material for the expansion.

I'm confused... do the face textures come with the outfit? I looked at the what's included, but it wasn't specific when it came to textures.

Update: Ok. I hate playing the Readme game, but I decided to try with this one. And according to the file list, it does look like the head skin texture is included. This is awesome! I wish it was more clear on the product page though.

    Thanks, Sade, for saying something.

The character design, is a very close representation of a character from Metropolis a 1920's German scifi silent movie..  As that is what immediately came to mind when I saw this product..

I like this outfit very much. Actually I'll even get the texture set later on I think.

Do have some questions though regarding using the outfit on G8F. I applied it for some quick testing on a toon character of mine so the head is bigger in general.

    1) Figure used in main promo
Apparently it's an outfit and a material for the head/face so the overall look depends strongly on the base figure used. That said and as already asked what was the figure/shape used on the main promo as it corresponds nicely with the outfit.

    2) Material for back of head, neck and inner mouth
Additional promos show the character with open mouth and from behind. The head material covers all visible skin parts of the character

Now with my testrenders the back of the head, parts of the neck and the tongue are not covered by the head material which looks a bit strange. As it is a material the bigger head size of the toon character should be no problem. Even the head piece fits nicely. So is this maybe due to the material being optimized for 8.1 and I am using it on a G8F or did I maybe miss something? Did apply the G8Head material directly on the G8F and removed the lashes. Any further steps necessary?

Something like this would normally scare the heebie-jeebies out of me, but it's so unique. I think she's fascinating.

1, no idea who made the main promo, but kudos for her/him, i like it. sorry, i cant answer to your question

    2. I made it, can be 8.1 vs 8 problem? I made it, but not sure it had been applied (based on promos it had been). probably its 8 vs .1 version ?

I made the textures for 8.1

    hope it helped!

Yep, is a 8.0 vs 8.1 problem. Applied to G8F and G8.1F Basic for comparison. Left is G8F, right is G8.1F

Would be cool if you guys might add a 8.0 material version which covers the full head and neck with an update as support for G8F is stated. I can live without it if not, but would still be nice though.
