Is there a way to transfer projection morphs between generations?

I am not a fan of big foreheads (I'm undoubtedly biased because mine is so tiny), so I was really excited when I found the Forehead minimizer freebie on DA. But it's for G3 and I'm mostly using G8 these days. It's a projection morph, and I've tried transferring projection morphs in the past with Xtransfer with no luck. Everything seems to go fine, but the end result is a dial that doesn't do anything. Is there another way to do it that will actually work?
