I'm trying to make Clothing for G8 I need to know if I can monetize it.

Hi! I would like to know if I can make Clothing assets for Genesis 8 models and sell them on the Daz Market? bear in mind the reason I ask is that I don't have the Interactive License yet and I was planning on just making the clothes over the mesh of the G8 with blender then deleting the G8 model after I get the shape right then exporting the clothes I made to Daz again. Is this ok or is this a case of fraud? New to the whole 3d modeler thing would appreciate honesty and If it is tell me. I'm willing to buy the License if necessary, but it will take a while I like making 3d stuff.

The interactive license allows the purchaser of a product to use it in an interactve environment (eg port it to a game) where it can be used as a personal asset and not distributed.
If you make the asset (clothing) yourself, the clothing would go onto the DAZ store and if someone bought it and the interactive licence, then you would get a cut of both the clothing payment and the interactive license fee. As a vendor you do not need to buy the license, it is simply a payment to DAZ and the vendor to allow the article to be used in an extension to the normally permitted usage. The license only applies to that article and any others need an additional fee too.

Richard.
You must be aware of that you must not directly use any mesh from other items inluding the base character - only mesh that you have created yourself - if you are going to sell or distribute an object.
Exception is, if you are making a geocraft, then you will use a number of vertices from the base character and that is ok.
It is OK to make add-ons (clothes, hair, props) and sell them through any outlet as long as they aren't derived from other add-ons and don't include parts of the original (other than GeoGrafts including the loop at their junction). It is also OK to make morphs and textures as long as they don't include other morphs or textures (with the exception of Merchant Resource sets used according to their own terms). You don't need an interactive license.
You can only use the DAZ figures to fit your original mesh around so that your clothing will fit. Your clothing has to be all original mesh, created in blender from scratch.
The interactive license is ONLY if you intend to use a DAZ asset in an original commercial game. it does not allow a user to use DAZ assets for mods to existing games
Thank you all for your clarification! I'm going to start making simple stuff for now until I get the money to buy resource type assets!
