transparent background render image

Hi, as you can see on the image I don't know how can i fix that problem. I followed the "How do I get the promised halo-free image?" instructions post by Richard Haseltine but I always have the issue even if the background is white and try to eliminate it on photoshop.

Any ideas?

What format are you saving the image in?

    Hi Richard!,
I try different option to see wich one work,...tiff and png, also Backdrop Visible in Render (on and Off) with tiff and png.

I open the files (there's no layer mask) on photoshop and when I remove the withe background have the same issue and even with the "remove white matte" option.

So I decided to create a plane and apply a photo as a backgroun but now Im triying to figure how can I remove the ancient ruins shadows over the plane I created jajajja (i guess something to tell on the plane no recibe shadows from any ligth?.. dunno jajajaj

thanx for the prompt reply ;)

Put the texture for the plane in Ambient and set Ambient Strength to 100%

Note that the alpha channel will be white wherever there is geometry - I'm not clear from your description but it sounds as if there may be a setting prop in your scene, which will also be included in the mask.

If you want to avoid shadows on an object user uberSurface (hold down the ctrl(Win)/cmd(Mac) key as you apply it and select Ignore for maps so you don't have to reapply yours) then adjust the settings (as Mike says you want Ambient on and at 100% white to remove lighting) then turn Accept Shadows off.
