the doors don't open?
is there geometry matching up with the doors, so i could hide the polys and fake an open door?
Thanks.

No operational doors (assuming the same as Chrizzler's and Lindy's). There is geometry, but you will need to carve out separate face groups if you want to rig doors, or use Mesh Grabber or D-Formers. Some are actually easy, others next to impossible, sharing facets on left and right side of double doors. The interiors are all billboards which are easily hidden, if you want to put your own tables and barstools, or whatever, in there.
thanks.
not finding much options for away teams.
mebbe some planets they osmose thru walls.
is away team real military jargon?
think i've heard 'scout the perimeter' thousands of times in scifi, but do military really say that?
More of a sports term than a military one. if you are playing somewhere other than your home turf, then you are the away team.
thanks.
it used to be called the 'landing party'
the Orville says 'away team'
TOS said Landing Party. TNG called them Away Teams. TOS sacrificed the Red Shirts. IIRC, TNG was not as rigid about sacrificial uniform color.
In TNG the captain wore red, security wore gold.
anyone know what sets open doors? or which artists make sets with opening doors?
the le village looks like doors and windows open
thanks
I've been messing around with Meshitup's Blue City kit, and there are a lot of neat features there (including doors that can open). Of course, the kit itself is just the modular pieces, and others are a little miffed that the presets aren't included (and sold in a separate product).
It's a beauty of a set, however.

...well there are transporters, but it could be startling for those inside when someone just "pops" in.
It is sad as these are otherwise nice sets and having lived there a while ago, doors on some businesses would be left open in the evening, particularly bars & clubs where there was music.
Le Village has some opening doors (can't remember about windows) where there's an interior.
All my sets have opening doors (except where there are no doors ;) ) (not necessarily with something behind them - like the toilets in the Tornado Bar - but the doors open for you to put your own place behind). Old Shopping Arcade has opening doors/shutters and revolving entrance doors. I tend to favour the "What if someone wanted to animate this?" line of product creation. I used to make fully-animatable turning door-handles that ERC'd the bolt to retract ... didn't seem to help sales at all. But I'll still do doors and drawers, etc.
Thanks.
