combining "free stuff with 3 items" from wed 26.11 AND free coupon four-more from email

so, i decided today that for 3 free items, i'd buy one of the "free stuff" items, that was on my wishlist anyway and costed about 8$. so far so good, with all items in the cart simultaneously, it showed the discount, aka the price of my item and all 3 free items really 0$.

then i still had this coupon from a recent email, called FOUR-MORE, where i could deduce 4$ from any purchase above 20$. so i loaded 2 more items in the cart, one was a 70% fast grab and the other somehow discounted too, and my cart came to 20.05$.
but when i then applied the FOUR-MORE coupon, all the free items lost their 0$ price, and the cart went up to 40 something.
seems like you can't combine all those discounts, but i read again & again the coupon, the website etc, no mention whatsoever that they aren't compatible...
why doesn't it work? did i miss something?

i'm not sure i understand your answer... what didn't work? the thankful for freebies per se (which work fine for me, alone without other discounts), or did you try the email coupon too?

Exactly what you're asking for: combining the coupon (I got it too) with this sale is a no-no.

right. why am i not surprised at all ~ guess i can probably trash the dumb coupon since i can't even use it where i'd need to :/
i mean, ok, i can understand that the shop doesn't want to be leeched out totally. not their problem if ppl like me can't afford the stuff. BUT this needs to be at least clearly and understandably mentioned either on the coupon itself, or on the sale page(s), ideally both. i've been losing over half an hour, and nerves, for this c**p. >_<</p>

thanks anyway for your quick answer :)

I guess it is more of a misunderstanding on DAZ's part than an intended thing. I suppose they could have forgotten about that coupon (since it was for a targeted group of customers) and didn't include it in the sale's rules.

There is one option for you though: buy what you need WITH the coupon, then rush to the support and tell them you were charged too much, explaining everything. There was no mention of the coupon's exclusion, so they are likely to refund you the difference. I hope you get what you're dreaming of, 3D speaking ;).

no can do... good idea with the refund per se, but i don't have an account, only a card loaded every time with just a calculated minimum i need (and can afford) for my 3d purchases, hence i couldn't even pay for the higher amount it would come to with your proposal, added to the fact i'm pretty sure no refund can be made on that card. i don't use bank, paypal etc at all. there would be a possibility i guess, if they agreed, of giving me a store credit, but as i said i have just enough to wrap that deal left on my card, so... i'll wait until bedtime here, which is still evening in the US, in hope the query Richard H. mentioned brought results - and then well.. i'll order without coupon :/

You do know that the easiest way of issuing a refund for the sales support is to give you a DAZ gift card with that amount? And you have no deadline to use it?

Just mention you had the problems anyway, you never know if they can do it. They are very kind, so it could work.

ah thx for the exact heads up - it can be useful in the future. i mentioned i guessed there was something in that line, which i falsely called "store credit", but this was the general idea. i'm glad you just confirmed it.

nonetheless, i don't have 40$ available on my card right now, which is what the same 20$ cart would cost if i used my 4$ coupon, instead of 16$ (this sounds sooo weird!), because then the freebies aren't free any more... so either:
    - a miracle happens and the system accepts the combination in the next 2-3 hrs before i retire to sleep (CET here)
    - i accept to lose my 4$ coupon (i can't order another 20$ worth this month, and coupon is only good until tomorrow)

i'm absolutely sure the support people who handle such cases are very nice, they always answered questions fast, neatly and professionally, but in this case, i can't take a leap of faith, since i can't afford the wings (the 20$ difference) ~
actually, receiving such a coupon should cause a customer to be content, happy, to rejoice. well... i wish not to get such confusing unnerving "gifts" ever again, if i have to spend hrs to debate and wait, track comments or follow a crash course in sales dialect ~ for lumpy 4$... honestly. i have more than once piled up sale items & clearance & coupons on other sites, and never had an issue. guess where the "shopping experience" has been more uplifting ~ no stress, expeditive aka done in minutes, not the shadow of a problem :/
which is a pity, i kind of like it here. but once i start to get annoyed, it tends to stay that way...

    EDIT / UPDATE:
i finally ordered for 20$, forgetting about my coupon, since i couldn't wait any more. but i wrote a report to support accordingly, who very promptly and efficently, without losing time (since they close for 4 days), refunded my coupon as a store credit for 4$. they said next time they'll need to run the issue through the tech guys of course, but for now we're good. i really appreciate such a fast, uncomplicated response! issues do happen - however, when they're handled satisfyingly, i tend to forget about them :)

It is store credit if it is issued by CS to refund anything. They don't give you a GC, . You can either have it refunded to the payment method that you used for your purchase or you can have it refunded to your store account as credit

I am very glad you got it sorted out. Yep, chohole, I meant the store credit. It is just that gift cards are efficiently store credit packs. And yes, the support is amazing here.
