Need help with arcane gallery upload procedure

in The Commons
Never posted to the gallery before. So I drag the image over, watch it upload, fill in the details, crop the thumbnail, and then I press "request to publish". I watch it "save" then I wait...
And wait ... and wait some more ... while it flashes "Publishing" and the little dots bounce at the top.
Okay. How long do I wait until I decide my little image crashed the internet. Or Daz.
What or who am I waiting for.? Not the upload, it took about 5 or 10 secs. Is Request to Publish the right button?
Does daz disallow images that include hamsters and copper cookware in the same image?
Okay, I'm being paranoid. NO hamsters are being harmed in my image. But pointers and reassurance welcome.

If you have never uploaded to the Gallery before, maybe you have to wait for the human gallery moderstor to decide you aren't a spammer. But honestly, I don't know. I find the new gallery difficult to use.
Thanks. I suspect I might have more than one copy of the image show up in a day or two, in which case it will be revealed thaI I am indeed a dork. Or at least a semi-dork.
Here is a long thread about the new gallery. You may find some answers if you have the time and energy to wade through it.
Go to your gallery page and click edit in the right hand corner. Scroll all the way down and there will be a box to upload your image. Once uploaded, double click it and fill out all your stuff there. When done click publish at the top. It was the only way the gallery would let me publish anything. I am not sure why Daz has decided to make it so complicated when they updated everything.
Is there an inordinately long wait while it "publishes" your picture? Like minutes long?
Thank you, barbult. I was looking for a discussion like that.
