I have an odd 3Delight rendering problem (Daz 4.6)

So I load up Genesis 2 Female, do a test render in 3Delight.
Comes out perfectly fine.
She's default pose/arms down, face-forward, everything's smooth, looks like a Poser8 render and stuff (dunno why bumps and stuff don't seem to be showing up as much with 3Delight though...).

Then I load up a character with MATs and stuff, do another test render in 3Delight.
Still comes out perfectly fine.

THEN, I apply one of the POSES to her (usually something that has her turning or something), and then render her in 3Delight...
The skin appears glowing white like there are Lights on her that are turned up (to death) to about 500% Intensity or something.
Basically, the skin does not render properly in 3Delight when she's posed. Somehow the EYES do, but the skin DOESN'T.

I then try rendering with Hardward/OpenGLSL and Preview Render to see if there's a problem there, and THOSE somehow turn out okay, but the rendering in 3Delight gets that weird non-skin result.

What happened to cause that? How can I fix that rendering problem?

    ...which poses?

Well, a couple were from Capsces's Aiko 6 poses, a couple were from I think Gia Fighting poses, and a couple from a collection I can't quite recall at the moment.

I would hope that I wouldn't have to resort to MANUALLY posing each part just to keep the rendering proper... :/

...don't have the Aiko 6 or Gia 6 poses so cannot run a test.

Next questions, are you using SSS and do any of the pose sets come with lights as well?

I have the capsces poses and the gia fighting poses, and nothing like that happens to me. How strange.

So after applying your character, she renders fine....but as soon as you apply a pose it does that?

There's a couple of things I don't quite understand about your first post,
you refer to using the default pose, but say the arms are down the default has the arms straight out?
you have a figure loaded and then load a character - are you loading another figure or applying a character preset.
Can you show some screen shots of your scene tab when you have the problems your viewpoint, and render settings.
Also could you post some images of the renders.
You might find that the reason you are not seeing bump etc very well is down to render settings, can you post your render settings.

I'm also wondering if you are hitting a problem that sometimes occurs with SSS shaders of the figure rendering white, what are your computer specs please?

This sounds like the brickyard shader error. If it is, the usual procedure is to save the scene file, exit DAZ Studio, restart Studio and then reload the scene.

    Cheers,

    Alex.

Yes, the Brickyard Shader thing was the problem exactly! Thanks for the help!
