How do I convert Genesis 8F characters to the new 8.1 shader?

1. How do I convert Genesis 8F characters to the new 8.1 shader?
2. What extra textures do Genesis 8F characters need for the new 8.1 shader? An Occlusion map, correct? Anything else?
Let's say I wanted to convert Leisa 8 to 8.1's new skin shader. What steps do you forsee in that process? I'm about to dive into this, but was hoping someone else has already formed a list of what needs to be done, OR BETTER YET, something I can buy that does this entire process for me automatically?
Here's my current thought process:
- Load Victoria 8.1F
- Replace Head & Body Morphs with Leisa 8.
- Replace all of Victoria 8.1F textures with Leisa 8's textures, however there are some differences, and there's no occlusion map for Leisa 8 that I'm aware of. What else?

I don’t use the PBR shaders but there is supposedly a shader included in Daz Essentials. So I would guess just use that on Leisa 8.
8.1 uses a different UV and surfaces for the head/neck region and eyes. So you'd have to set the UV set to G8F otherwise the maps wont line up.
But you can just use the shader without loading a character (and it works on basically everything, including normal Genesis 8 characters).
- Load the figure like normal.
- With the figure selected go to the surfaces tab, select the figure in the list under "editor" and look in "presets" for the "Daz Iray PBRskin" under shaders/Iray/skin and double click
- Back in the editor you'll need to turn all the settings "on" (do this at the top level) as they're off by default, but all the maps should be in their normal places and everything copied across.
thanks this was very helpful.
The shaders are not dependend on the UV coordinates. you'll have to do some handwork here.
-Load a 8.1 character with your prefered shader.
-In the surface tab select e.g. the body material
-go to your content tab and create a unique folder
-there you save a "shader preset".
-New scene
- Load your G8 character
-Surface tab
-Skin setting
-ctr and click on your just saved shader
-choose ignore from your roll down menue
-In case the UV still doesn't match, mke sure to go to
surface tab geometry and select "Base Female".
hope that helps
