KMW appears to be a fairly normal, low activity member. Sure, he's been here almost as long as me (which is pretty rare) but I don't see how that merits a fan club.
The KMW Fan Club was a forum thread in the "Commons" that KMW started as a "satire" of DAZ PA "Fan Club" threads that were popping up a lot around the Summer/Fall of 2005 (I think that was the year)
A bunch of us jumped onboard for fun and it quickly became a thread where us characters hung out and chatted. One of the members even moved in with me (in real life) from half way across the country and we've been a couple and together ever since.
We'd generally post renders, laugh, joke and try to be entertaining, though we also used to do render contests (including a HUGE one that was authorized by Frank Frazetta and judged by his son).
I can't remember the total number of posts, but we maxed the post count on multiple threads over the years and had to "continue" them in new in new ones multiple times. A few of us had some of the highest post counts on the forums at the time.
Due to the forums being re-done a couple of times since, I think the original forum threads have been lost.

Sounds like interesting times, thanks for posting the history of the club.
Might be better to rename it since the references may be lost to people coming in now.
Good to see you, Blues. :)
You too Cris!
I am attempting to learn Object Oriented Programming and C# programming for Unity3D and it kinda brought me back around as I might need to create some models. I am a bit rusty after a few years.
I figure that learning OOP will help me understand the Developer Speak speak better and it might help me in doing my Software Quality Control job.
Winter time generally means less work on the house and property, so I have more time to learn and play.
Dare I ask what the material component for Raise Fan Club is?
Still working on it...
I think 2015 is the 10 year KMWFC anniversary, so I am thinking of doing another render contest, including the usual fun and games.
It would be great to get the start date of the original thread. Not sure anyone knows or can dig it up now.
The data is still there, but with the archive down it's inaccessible to mere mortals like us (well, I'm mortal - not sure if dragons are or not).
I don't know if even Dragon Magic can help.
Is there a plan at DAZ to try and get them accessible again... and if so, is the time frame "DAZ Soon"?
I think there was mention of that with respect to the forthcoming new forum software, but I've no idea of the timeline or whether that aspect is still on

I am not familiar with the KMW Fan Club. What is it all about?
