DIM - photoshop files installation?

I don't seem to have a folder set for installation of photoshop brushes that I have purchased.

How do I set one in the DIM, so that when d/ling ron's brushes, they'll be installed to the location I want? (I keep all my ps brushes in a folder on my hard drive, not in PS itself)

    -nevermind-

Forgot, DIM will install brushes and things to the app install folder regardless of folder selection.

I grab mine from my DIM download location and move them manually.

    Jaki -

Fire up DIM if not already running and -
    1) click on the gear icon, top right corner, to get into settings
    2) select (click on) the installation tab
    3) click on the '+' sign in the lower left corner
    4) enter a value for the label (brushes, ron's brushes - whatever)
    5) click on the little button with the three dots to the right of the path box and browse to your desired location
    6) click on the location in the browse window and then click on 'ok'
    7) click on 'accept' in the 'add shortcut' window
    8) click on 'accept' in the settings window

To install to this location - make sure that the 'show details' box is checked on the DIM installation tab, use the drop-down box to select your label, select the products to install, and - install.

Won't work. DIM installs to the app folder regardless of having a selected path or not.

Yeah, but you can fool DIM into thinking the folder you want IS the application folder.

Create a text file and name it photoshop.exe and drop it in the folder you want the stuff installed to.

Only problem is I have the actual folder listed in my app installs due to the bridge. I think listing 2 app installs for the same app would cause DIM to choke.

So say it's a different version of photoshop in DIM. You can have more than one, no?

Yes, you can have more than one Photoshop application listed in DIM, and DIM will install both plugins and brushes to all the locations listed.

Apologies - as should be obvious, I don't do PS. Why not submit an enhancement request for DIM to allow a separate destination for brushes? It might actually get implemented.

Thanks everyone for all the help!

I want to download via the DIM as i get a blistering fast speed through that, compared to a MUCH smaller speed if I d/l manually from teh site.

But I realized I don't have to actually INSTALL the brushes through the DiM - I can just d/l them and then go to my downloads folder and unzip the zip and move them manually, which is fine. So I'm happily d/ling and just ignoring the error message that says it can't INSTALL them to the path I have selected.
