Can we please just do away with coupon codes?

I mean, really. If you're going to offer something at a discount, can you just make that discount apply across the board and not make us jump through hoops to get it. Especially when the coupon application is sooo buggy. I've had to try 4-5 times to get it to work in many instances, and on a couple, I've just cancelled the sale entirely because I'm so frustrated with it. Read that again: you've lost a sale that you otherwise would've gotten.

The system seems to work fine when discounts are applied to individuals or groups without codes, so it looks like you're just penalizing people who don't read every single banner item or sale blurb.

As a for instance, I was on the fence about whether or not I wanted the Jada 8.1 RollerBundle. There's an additional 20% off with "XTRA20" because I'm so interested in 8.1 bundles. But now, after 5 unsuccessful tries at the coupon code, I've been pushed right off the fence into the "not buy" yard. Just giving me a heads-up that I get the discount and applying it automagically (like the other 15% discount in my PC+ offers) would have turned that into a sale, in addition to prompting me to take advantage of the "Add-on" bonuses inherent in the Jada 8.1 release.

I'm putting money on the table; all you have to do is make it easy for me to spend it.

I always figured times like this where it's an extra discount, they throw the coupon code on so you can't use your PC+ coupon to make it even cheaper. The coupon you're referring to didn't work for me last night either, I was just waiting till a little after 9am Utah time when I'm assuming folks get to work and see if it gets sorted out then.

OK, I get that; but why? They're giving $12/month for the PC+ coupons; why should they care if that's  what we use it on?

They get more good will from me for being straight forward with their policy, rather than make me feel like I'm scrimping for a deal.

Frustratingly the CREATIVE70 giftcode had to be in all caps to work and then it discounted for more than the one DO animal/creature in the cart it said it was good for. I bought all 5 animals in my cart anyway as I'm not sure what the intention was (and have seen all of the things I bought in that purchase previously cheaper multiple times at any rate).  creative70 and Creative70 would not work.

Because this way you have to make two purchases -- one to use the XTRA20 coupon, then buy something else to use your PC+ coupon. More purchases = more money for Daz. Whether that's a good long term business practice is up for debate.

If there were no codes then any discount would apply on the enxt eligible cart - where an offer is usable across a range of purchases but only a limited number of times then a code allows people to chose where to best use it.

OK, well that at least makes sense. Would be nice then if they worked the first time.

Well I could get that coupon working BUT the concept of lowering the price on a bundle for products already owned was NOT working, so end result, no sale.

OK, that part actually worked for me. I got the DAZ Animals Bundle (pig, piglet, sheep, milleneum horse (owned), two milleneum house cat products (owned)) 30% discounted due to regular PC+ discount, then the discount for the parts of the bundle I already owned kicked in, then I added the CREATIVE70 for a further discount and it discounted more. I then added the Baby Elephant, DAZ Milleneum Gorilla,  DAZ Squirrel, and DAZ Lamb to the cart and the coupon also discounted those.

The coupon codes are, effectively, a door; you have to enter by a door, choose one.  The XTRA20 was, so far as I could detect, not connected to the Jada 8.1 Bundle (at least I applied and removed it and couldn't detect a difference) but later I was sent another coupon code that did actually get me 15% off any purchase; not worth it because at 70% that's only an extra 4.5%.

If we were able to combine coupon codes then DAZ Productions pricing algorithms wouldn't work; they would have to be much more restrictive in what they offered at any time to particular individuals.  So the coupon code is a convenient way for the DAZ Production programmers to limit us to one of those offers at a time; to ensure that we enter by one door, not several.

I do quite like the bundle, but I can't get it down low enough so I'm not buying it; I can get close buy adding stuff at a low pricce that I will never use but the adds have to reduce the price of the cart significantly (this has happened in the past) and that doesn't occur here.
