I am sure others will offer even more advice, but in the meantime, you need this, currently free :

If you purchased a Poser disc, make sure you have the latest update; it's SR 5...

For ease of use, when shopping here, make sure to buy products that include Poser Companion files. One has to install the DSON importer, of course, which is installed to the Poser program directory, and the Genesis/Gen2 Starter Essentials to the runtime of your choice (not the one in the Poser program directory if you are using Vista or higher; hopefully you didn't install your Poser content there!). If you are using Studio, you can add the runtime in the DAZ content folder to the library and you won't need to install Starter Essentials, just make sure the Poser Companion files are installed there too. ..

However, some products don't include PC files but can still be used. One can usually use models using D3D's free DSON loader script...

You may need to fix the materials if you go this route.

    Have Fun... :)
