How to simulate SY dForce Capes

How to simulate SY dForce Capes

Hi!

I was wondering if anyone had used SickleYield's dForce Capes. I left a sim running and came back after an hour and it had barely started. The scene was fresh and there were no other dForce items I know of, not even hair, and clothing was minimal on the character. I reloaded and tried again, and it was still going very slowly. I have a high end PC and Nvidia 3070 that is not a super-rig but has simulated stuff before without issue. Am I missing some default setting I need to change for the simulation to run smoothly, or does it need to run in the AniMate (which I know nothing about)? Or does it just take hours for this item to simulate properly?

    Do you have your GPU selected in the Simulation settings? That caught me out, it was using my cpu and was super slow until i told it to use my GPU.

    Yes. As it turned out, the morphs on the figure somehow corrupted it. I tried simulations with the base figure and the cape and had no problems. SickleYield was very helpful and pointed out that the problem might be with the figure after messaging. Very approachable artist and active in the community.
