How do you near instantaneously find distance in cm between ground and top of your characters head?

Preferably with only one or two clicks maximum to gain this basic, basic, most basic of information?

Do you have this? It's really simple and quick to use with the genesis figure presets it comes with. https://www.daz3d.com/measure-metrics-for-daz-studio

That entire setup is too complicated and the documentation is non-existent. So many people have problems with that solution.

Maybe if they updated the documentation or made a video that shows the installation process and how to use it, then I'd consider getting it.

Can Measure Metrics give you the height if G8F is in high heels?

Like I said, it's easy to use for Genesis figures. There is a wearable preset for those figures. Select your character, apply the preset, check the plugin window or use the script to see the measurements. There is a complex preset that lists a bunch of different measurements for a bunch of different body part and a simple preset that shows measurements for basic things like height, chest, waist and hip measurements. There's even a preset to remove it from your character when you are done with it. For other figures, it would be more complicated to set up, and I've never tried to figure that out. I just use it for the quick info I want for my genesis characters.

If all you want is height, just create a null and move it to the top of the head. The figure in the "y" translation field is the height in cm.

Doesn't get any simpler than that.

Creating a small plane is better than a null IMO because you can easily see when it moves just above the top of the head.

and can use the Align pane with the Align Top option for the Y axis to put it on top of the figure, as long as its feet (or shoes) are on the ground that will give the height in cm in the y translate value.

Thanks. Do you know if this can work on any male genitalia? I'd imagine that if it does, it'd require making some kind of custom profile? The documentation seems to hint that it may be possible?

EDIT: Wait, I could just use two planes and measure the distance between them.

This worked great.   I wonder if this can be turned into a script. Then you just double click fast, check the plane and you got the height, even if the figure is posed with the knees bent or wearing high heels (as long as they touch the floor). EDIT: I'll just leave the plane parented to the top of the head, I think that'd work. Then for every new character I make, just append that plane prop to the head.
