I don't understand; why no tassets or skirt?  Surely there could have been an option for those not wishing to send the good lady into battle virtually bare a**ed?  At least the armour doesn't have heels, which I suppose is something.

dForce Valiant Armor for Genesis 8 and 8.1 Females | Daz 3D

Still undecided, but probably won't bother.  I could probably try and kitbash something to cover the thighs I suppose.  I dunno.

If the armour doesn't have heals, thats a bad thing. Health will naturally drop in battles if you can't not get hit.

The description does kind of make out it's old, old armor, so maybe parts are missing. Or as it's from a magical land, and magic by definition doesn't follow "normal" rules. Or a bazillion other reasons. But anyway, it's fantasy armor made to look nice with design choices made to that effect. It can do whatever, there's no actual rules it can't. It could be an armored crop top with stilts and a flamingo helmet (i'd soo want a flamingo helmet) and still be fine.

Can always stick a geometry shell with whatever chainmail/cloth texture under. And/or duplicate the shoulders and parent them to the waist with some scaling. Or both.

As long as the metal pieces don't bend with movement, it'll be ok for kitbashing. That's at least something.

Put some geoshell pants underneath and call it a day. It's a modular set.

Apperciate that it comes with a functional chestplate unlike a few otherwise good models supplied with deeply modeled cups for each breast making them actively trying to injure or kill their wearer the very moment someone is punching her in the chest with anything blunt and heavy.  A.K.A. sternum injury magnets.
