3DU Problem Fitting Jordan Hair No Data for Shaniquah Hair

I can't figure out what she's doing wrong. A friend bought the Jordan Hair and the product description says it will auto fit other characters, but it's not doing that. she's using the standard size G8F, not the Jordan morph, however, that shouldn't matter, this hair should be fitting properly.
Anyone have any suggestions or how to make it auto fit like the description says. As to what the hair is doing, the top sits about mouth/nose level instead of on top of the head.

Is it a parented prop or a fitted figure?
Looking at the product page I suspect it means AutoFollow, not AutoFit.
I have been talking to the lady for the past half hour, the whole thing started cause she bought a charcter that came with hair and the hair shows up as blocks, I explained what that mean, so she tried the jordan hair and it will not fit properly. the characater she is trying to fit it to is Shaniquah from 3DU as is the Jordan hair.
Now sure how to explain what you said, english is not her first language.
I checked the page for her cause I had to hunt it down when she gave me the wrong hair name and it said autofit not auto follow.
She was thinking of returning the character due to the problem with the hair, though she really likes it and hopes to solve this without returning it. And again still the problem with the jordan hair not fitting correctly as well.
the page for the character gives a 404 error so can't get any information for it. She was wondering if it's possible to contact the vendor to see if they can help.
I have purchased Shaniquah Teen Characters wiht Hair but hair were missing in this order How can I solve the problem
Everyone Darjaz is the one I have been trying to help.
I had to remove the image as the figure was nude - please give her some clothes or zoom in so we see just the head.
Having the hair as blocks like that usually means that it is not in the correct place, how did you install? Do you get an error message when you try to load the hair?
Faeryl Womyn - yes, the page says AutoFit but I think it should say AutoFollow, it's easy to put the wrong one down (I've done it on occasion) and that is probably what happened here. The main difference is that it should just happen, while AutoFit throws up a dialogue box.
She used Daz Central to install and she just informed me she sent in a ticket. It's possible she was expecting answers as quickly as I was giving them, as were were talking real time on discord. Not quite the same here lol
She is probably going to need explanations how to to find where things are installed and how to fix any problems founds. I was using images to help.
Could be that the Daz Central and Daz Studio content locations don't match, assuming the image with the block hair was current.
This is what she told me happened that lead to her getting the Jordan Hair...
"Thank You I am seeking how I can solve this poking and not fitting .Shaniquah they pull her out of the sale . it supposed to have braided hair but it is problem putting on her head( this time is not my problem, but creator), so I decided to use Jordon hair"
And the image below is what happens when she tries to use the Jordan Hair.
I can't help her with the Daz Central and locations due to I only ever manually install anything, including the program itself. As such I can't explain what she needs to do to check on the locations.
Do you have a link to a thread she can check to see about the loaction of files, perhaps something with images to help explain what is being said.
Shaniquah doesn't come with hair. It comes with fits for Jumbo Side Braids for Genesis 3 and 8 Female(s) by Samsil, which must be purchased separately.
Jordan hair is for G8F. It might be easier to fit it on the G8F version of Shaniquah, although it should fit properly on the G3F version with a Scene ID change. It might be worth checking if the person is using the G3F version of Shaniquah.
She may have bought a bundle then, cause the squares show up instead of the hair, so would that not mean she should have the hair, it's just in the wrong place as Richard suggested. Also she only uses G8, not any of the older models.
No, the squares just mean the geometry is missing. There is no bundle. Your friend may have simply misunderstood the "What's Included".
It's not easy to tell which Shaniquah is which without checking the Info panel below Smart Content. The generation is not indicated on the labels.
I'm loving this popup that tells me someone answered a post I made lol
Shaniquah is for G3 and G8, the Jordan Hair is for TG8
I also thought the squares meant the data was missing but Richard said no, it could mean the files are in the wrong location. Oh and it was the teen she bought.
Shaniquah comes with 4 age presets. You should ask your friend if she actually has the Jumbo Braids in her product library. There's no point looking for something that's not there.
Ok I told her what you guys said and see what she can tell me once she see's my message on discord.
Ok She seen my message and checked all files and yes she does have the hair, so that means her files are not in the right place. I need to explain to her what she needs to do as clearly and simply as possible. I know very little about this particular problem.
The main thing is to make sure that the installer and DS are using the same content directories.
I just found out this evening that she did not have the braids hair that were shown on the Shaniquah character. She got confused by the hair fits information and thought it meant the bundle had the hair. She is going to purchase it.
One problem remains and that is the Jordan Hair not fitting. She thought it was because of the difference in size between Jordan and Shaniquah characters, so the hair was parenting lower. I explained both characters are G8 which the hair is made for and would not be the problem.
Any idea's on how she can get this hair to fit.
Does the Jordan hair have bones in its listing in the Scene pane, or it just a single item?
If the character is built with unevenly scaled bones (scaling the length of the bones), some fitted items may have problems fitting properly. One could try scaling the individual bones of the hair to match the bones of the character ("Show Hidden Parameters" to see all the scaling options)
I might have a similar problem and a possible solution.
If I load Business Afternoon Outfit on Khemsit 8 the clothes are much to small.
If I select the top and it's currently used parameters and set "FBMKhemsit8" to 0, the top scale turns normal. (You need to have hidden parameters enabled)
The problem is the skirt. It doesn't have "FHMKhemsit8" and if I set "FBMKhemsit8" to 0, it looks better, but not correct.
Ok does anyone have images to show what she needs to find and where to find it and how to change it. We have a language barrier so I need to be very simple and clear for her to understand. Also I am a visual person, learn better visually then by text or spoken word, so also need this to exlain it to her.
And guys thanks for helping with this.
Have you asked her, how is she loading the hair to the scene?
Played around a bit before getting to bed last night and I got pretty close to replicating her "problem", I did it by loading the hair into the scene without having the figure selected, then I drag the hair onto the figure (parented) and scaled the hair back to 100%, the hair sunk into the figure's head pretty much the same as you showed on the picture.
It looks like she is parenting the hair instead of fitting
I asked if she selected the figure and she said yes, I wonder if she dragging and dropping, could that cause this sort of problem?
Even if/when the hair is already parented, she should be able to fit it to the figure with the "Right Click" menu by selecting "Fit to"
I'll check with her again on how she loaded the hair, as in every single move she made. Hopefully she gives that to me and I can actually help with this particular problem.
