Help..........what is causing this? Everything coming up white in viewport. SOLVED

Anyone know what is causing this? After installing 4.7 this is my viewport, so I un-installed Studio and re-installed 4.6 but still getting this in viewport. The textures render properly so I can't figure out what's up. I cleared the cache, shut down my computer, checked to see if any problems were showing on my video card (NVidia Quadro FX5600) etc. but now I've run out of ideas........

I should clarify perhaps I had been using 4.7 for a few hours before this happened when I started working on a new scene.

    I have this happen occasionally.
I have tried many different things and usually it's best if I close DS.
then open the scene again. it seems that the cache gets overwhelmed.
on a bad day.... after opening, I have to reapply the textures..

It is probably just the display option has been changed from texture shaded to smooth shaded. The display option is a little sphere icon and will be in one of the upper corners of the viewport.

Pressing ctrl plus a number key also switches display mode, I suspect that's what happened (maybe you missed when aiming fro ctrl-y to redo a command).
