Stand up poses, expressions?

Love the new Comedian and Late Night Talk Show products.

But seeing I am not ready to upgrade to 8.1 due to the lack of compatibility with G8 expressions, I have avoided purchasing any new products where 8 / 8.1 seems to be a bit murky in the description.

For example, I would love to buy this new product:

However, it does not list G8 for Expressions included. Why provide G8 poses without the expressions?

Maybe when G9 / G10 is released I will finally upgrade. But right now there is just to much back and forth with G8 / G8.1 to even bother with this. 

Really kind of bummed there doesn't seem to be any backward compatiblity in this, or just a good set of guidelines on new products like the G3 / G8 inclusions in many of the previous products.

Why provide G8 poses without the expressions?

Because they can easily save the poses in a way that keeps them compatible with both generations, but as you said, the expressions are not compatible.

It does not add particular hassle to make it so that people who are using both G8.0 and G8.1 (most of G8.1's advantages are about creating new characters, not improving old ones, so it's often better to leave G8.0 characters on G8.0) can get that additional (partial) functionality out of the product, but trying to support expressions for both bases would add more work, and pose/expression sets aren't exactly notorious for being the best sellers on the store, even if you're not technically trying to support an old generation that has already got a heap of competing content.
