"Today's Sale Artists" question

Some of these items have discounts, while some have no discounts at all.

I had assumed that these items would be discounted if I put one of today's new items in the cart with them, but this does not happen.
Am I assuming incorrectly?

You have to achieve a certan number of punches (minumum buying 5 new items) to get the additional discount on the PAs.
You're not alone with the problem about the discount not showing properly, though:
