DAz not Exporting Tif files properly

Hello
I've read some scant posts on this dilemma, but haven't quite found what I was looking for
Up until now, I've saved Renders as Tifs so I could get a transparent background (which allows me to paint in my own background art)
But now all of a sudden, the backgrounds in my tif images are no longer transparent
Could I have accidentally messed up a setting? What settings could've affected the way TIFF files exported?
I'm still a new user and I'm still learning the huge plethora of settings and what not
Anyone with experience in this could set me back on track?

Thanks!

PNGs also render with transparent backgrounds, in case you can't get TIF to work again.

    Ah, good to know!
    Thanks!
I would still be curious as to what could've glitched my TIFF exports

There is no geometry in the background, and Draw Dome/Draw Floor are off in Render Settings?

What do you get when you try to save as tiff?

It saves as a Tiff image except that the background is solid white and not transparent (which up until now, it usually was). I even tried some older files (which exported fine in the past) and even they're exporting incorrectly. I'm thinking I must've messed with a wrong setting somewhere but I can't what.

What are you opening them in? If the older files are scenes they should load their own settings (unless you have turned the option off) so any mis-setting should be fixed for them. Do you get this with a sphere in an empty scene? If so, please save that and upload it as an attachment.

I get the same results no matter what I tweak in Render settings - tiffs are exporting basically as jpegs (solid backgrounds)
I suppose I can just start using PNG (as Gordig mentioned earlier) as it seems to export scenes with transparent backgrounds
