I have 539 of these .duf.enc files. They are dated from 2017 and 2018. These are the products:
Reading Corner SKU 50787
Teacher Meeting Room SKU 21628
Nomad for Genesis 3 Male(s) and Female(s) SKU 24278
I gave up on Daz Connect, because of all the many problems I had with it, corrupted files during installation and updates being the last straw for me. I have been gradually uninstalling my products from Daz Connect and installing them with DIM. I only install new purchases with DIM now.
Some files are compressed (not encrypted) and at least 7Zip can decompress them.
I open in Notepad++ and if I see binary I use WinRAR to extract the contents and then open that in Notepad. I have 35 years of programming experience by the way, so I do know how to decompress and open Studio's gzip files :-)
I'm curious how you don't see ENC files on the file list which is empty for me, see screenshot.
You may need to refresh the page a "few" times, eventually it comes up.
Apologies for the necro, but I just discovered I have 8,566 DUF.ENC and DSF.ENC files in my DAZ Connect install folder (all of them newly purchased since 03 May 2021). I have 982,000 other files (400 GB) of "normal" files in those folders without this ENC nonsense.
I can't find much information on what these ENC files are other than something to do with DAZ Connect encrypted content and the only forum thread I can find on that topic is this old stale discussion.
Do any of you know what these ENC files are and how to get rid of them? I just want my normal DUF/DSF files back!
I noticed that there were some .enc files (encrypted versions of the DSON fiels, which DS will decode if it knows your account - even if you hadn't purchased the item the last time you logged in from DS) while checking how Backblaze was doing, but I haven't checked how many. As far as I understand it they shouldn't be there - you might try reisntalling and if that doesn't work then please report them.

There are no ENC files on the file list;

How did you try opening the file as a Zip?

I have tried it. Once unzipped, it opens in any text editor I am throwing at it.
You shouldn't get an .enc file. Try uninstalling and reinstalling.

Looks like you have a file association problem on your system. I have no .ENC files on my install

It looks like you didn't install with Daz Connect. Those .duf.enc files are exclusive to Daz Connect installation.

Well that would explain it since I never use connect or smart content.
