I need to reset my DS interface to defaults. it's gone. the instance is running without issues, but there is nothing there. I had a monitor go down. there has to be an easy way to fix it.
Launching from a DS file does nothing other than load, then nothing.

Try Alt W to open the Window menu, down arrow, down arrow, right arrow, enter to open the Select Layout dialogue, then Enter again to load the default layout.
unfortunalty it did not work.
I deleted my layouts and that didn't do anything either.
So this was interesting. A complete uninstall/reinstall did not fix this. The registry as you may have guessed is tremendous due to the nature of the Application spreading out resources so their might have been a way to do this but it seemed like it would be involved without knowing where windows manages each of those particular aspects and where the developers of the app defined them. I tried switching the display ports on the GPU and that did not do anything either. the fix required another display to be attached which showed the menu, it also flipped my main display to upside down, which I corrected with some unconventional thinking in the Windows display interface.
Some aspects of my custom color layouts remained, some were gone which leaves me to believe the uninstall does not address that. A possible solution would be to store those settings in the Studio folders to be removed with the uninstall and rebuilt to defaults in a reinstall, or removed by the user without having to investigate the sizable registry settings. If I did not have a spare display in storage I'm not sure how this could have been corrected, there may be an easier way I overlooked but possibly something for the developers to consider in future builds.
Uninstall does not, and should not, remove user configuration. It would be nice to have a clean restart option, but currently there isn't one 9and even if there was, I imagine thir-party plug-ins and script settings might remain). It sounds as if the issue might have been the OS seting for which display the application was to open in.
It sounds similar to the problem I had in the last month where daz would load, but without a main window to click anything. Reinstalling did nothing there either unless you went into regeddit and manually deleted entries. At first I also thought it had something to do with a 2nd monitor change, but I recreated the problem over the last month without monitor changes. Anyway, the 'fix' at the end of the following thread was simple in the end.

I had tried this before I read that thread and hitting maximize actually blew out my re-created layout but left the menu bar so I'm able to re-load city lights and customize from there.
