Look! A new PA - BlackFeather1973

There's a new PA in the DAZ store - BlackFeather1973. BlackFeather1973 is the person that made that fun random expression generator script available on ShareCG. The Make a Mess product in the DAZ store is fun like that, too. MFD never looked like this before! Here's my first attempt with it.

#1 on my wishlist.
I adore clutter.
It works with several different prop sets. I don't have all of them, but I have a couple to try it with. I bet it could work pretty well with other props that are a similar size, but I haven't tried that yet. Of course the floor ones can be used without any special prop.
That's a great render, barbult. Thank you for sharing. :)
You really have a nack for nailing expressions, also love the subtle use of dof.
I'm not sure how the morphs would hold up when combined with other props than the ones they were designed for. I suppose some could work, if you play around a bit with camera placement, scaling, collission detection and/or D-forms. Still would be hit or miss, though.
The product looks tremendous, straight onto my wishlist!
I saw that last night before I went to bed, and it's in my wish list till I get paid. I'm curious, will it work parented to props not from the sets listed. Right now, I'm assuming it would, since a chair is pretty much a chair, etc... Would you be able to check on that? If not, I will once I can afford it next week.
Edit: Never mind, I see the creator answered. That's what I get for posting before I'm fully awake.
It was in my cart even before I clicked to find out what it was. LOL
I love the render, barbult! Slice of life captured with aplomb.
Thank you for making a practical product BlackFeather- was delighted to see you as a vendor :)
Thanks, BlackFeather73, Spit and Novica for your comments on my first attempt with Make a Mess. Show us what you've tried!
I tried using the morphs with other props. As BlackFeather73 warned, it is hit or miss and requires some fiddling. But I had pretty good success using the Classic Deco Coffee Table 2 morph for the MFD with the coffee table from Dream Home Great Room and a chair from Chair Collection. I found that I had to work with the MFD unparented to get the scaling to work out right for me. I'm not sure if that is a good technique or beginner's learning curve errors, but in the end, I got results that pleased me. I tried using D-Forms, but that was a nightmare, not because of Make a Mess, but because of a DS "issue" with the field not moving predictably when applying a D-Form to anything that is not at 0,0 in default state.
So, bottom line, if you don't have the props that the set was designed for, you can still have some fun with it if you are willing to work at it a little. And, like I mentioned before, the floor morphs would work anyway. Just don't expect it to work perfectly with every prop out there! That is not how it was designed or marketed. I'd say it is like Aave's clothing morphs. They are designed to work perfectly with certain poses. You can try them on other poses with varying levels of success.
Thank you, all. I'm so relieved/glad/proud/happy you like the set.
Couldn't have done it without the support and help i've received the past few years from this wonderful community.
(now look what you did, you made me go all melty...)
Melty is good. :) Anytime you have warm and fuzzy in the winter, you can't go wrong. Like with your product. Make more!
Such a useful product, Feather... Looks very well done. Can't get it immediately, but it's on the wishlist for a purchase soon!
Just need some men's things, and shoes... Oh shoes and underwear for the really sloppy roommate. =-)
Shoes shouldn't be an issue, as long as you have the right kind. Maybe boots would be, if they are soft enough to flop, but for the most part you'd just need to use the basic transforms. Socks, on the other hand, would be very tricky.
The real question is, what's next for our upcoming vendor?
Thank you, Xeno, Serene and HoF !
Mmmh, socks...
As in Fisty's fabulous Ankle Socks ?
Should be able to upload a small set for these after the weekend.
And don't forget Blackfeather also helped to get Powerpose working for Genesis and Genesis 2, something I'm very thankful for. :)
If you don't mind my suggestions a couple other ideas for messy items, perhaps a towel for bathrooms and wrinkled bedsheets (that could be scaled to fit a variety of beds). Great work on those socks too!

I suspect that's in my heap of stuff I need to install, but I'll download it (again) to be safe.
Someone pointed me to a script Blackfeather did on ShareCG http://www.sharecg.com/v/68065/view/8/Script/HeadLight-Simulator-for-Daz-Studio to turn lights on and off for rendering, and it's super great.
