dForce hair seems to be too light during walking animation

I have a G8F figure with a walking animation with AprilYSH's dForce Kay Hair or Jay Hair. After applying the simulation, the hair seems like it is in a wind tunnel standing straight up. The figure is only walking and it would be proper if G8F was running.

I have tried adjusting the gravity and air resistance to keep the hair still.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

You might want to lower local shape constraint stiffness in the hair's surface settings.

Thanks! I'll check out your DV page!

I still get the same result.

Hi, in animation the hair is not having enough time per frame to simulate. To give each frame more "time", increase the "Local Shape Constraint Iterations" in the hair Surface settings.  Somewhere at 12 to 16 looks ok to me, please try that :)

Another way is to increase the Frames Per Second (FPS) Multiplier in the Simulation Settings. This may affect other things in the scene, not just the hair.  I don't do animations so I'm no expert there. :)

Unrelated to animation, I have a couple of other dForce hair notes here fyi: https://www.facebook.com/AprilYSH.3d/posts/251844886667971

AprilYSH, thank you! It worked! I've enjoyed your other hair products. They flow fine when the figures are stationary. I set LSCI to 28. The hair is still moving, but it doesn't act as if she was in a wind tunnel!

    Thanks again!

Glad it worked for you :) that's pretty high, I didn't get that far. :) I think the longer hairs (or higher interpolation strands) need higher setting. Short hairs can go wild and still look ok lol
