Uhmm pre-authorisation of a PayPal payment to Daz3D

First time I am seeing this when making a payment for a purchase at the DAZ3D store.  It is me, or is it Daz3D Store that is a little different ?

    DAZ has always sent me to PayPal for authorization then transfers me back to the DAZ site to download.

    @LeatherGryphon - yes, that is the case for me as well, but this latest purchase was the first time I had a pre-authorisation notice as well.

    They  made me wait once, and I think it's happened to a few other people here as well. It's not Daz3D doing it, it's PayPal. They probably have an issue with the name of something and want to make sure it's not pron. LOL

    Who sent the notification, DAZ or PayPal, or your bank linked to PayPal?  Did you tinker with your PayPal or bank settings?

    Something similar happened to me back on March 19, 2021 with the Cleopatra "Egyptian" themed items...

    Payments went from "pending"...

    Your payment to DAZ Productions Inc on Mar 19, 2021 is pending

    "As part of our security measures, we review certain payments more closely to ensure our platform is being used properly and to minimize the potential risk for us and our customers. One of the payments that you sent is currently being reviewed. We are working to resolve this matter as quickly as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience"

    To "reversed" as a refund on March 20...

    Your payment of $64.48 USD to DAZ Productions Inc on Mar 19, 2021 has been reversed.

    "As noted in our prior communication, PayPal suspended this payment for review to ensure it complies with the established User Agreement and our global regulatory obligations. During our review, we identified a risk that prevents us from completing this payment. We apologize for the inconvenience."

    Some items that may have put PayPal's automated "risk" assessment system into a meltdown might have been caused by any of the following product names...

    Cleopatra's Royal Vizier Bundle
    Cleopatra's Egyptian Bundle
    Elaheh HD for Genesis 8 Female
    Hel The Goddess of Underworld Bundle

    Most likely PayPal's automated risk system was trying to prevent what it deemed might be illicit sales of "Royal" "Egyptian" artifacts being sold in a "Bundle", involving "Elaheh" and Hel, The "Goddess" of the "Underworld" in the transaction...

    Richard, thanks for looking into this for me. The items purchased are: 

    Nothing there that looks as if it should trigger an alarm at PayPal, unless nirv is slang for something. Have they cancelled the order or is it still pending?

    Thanks for all the comments. The order did go through and I have the products in my account.  As for the PayPal message, I have no idea what caused it.
