Question about Library Storage (General question, not complicated.)
I have 1TB of space on my computer hard drive and approx 725GB of that is being occupied by my Daz Library. I also have a 1 TB external hard drive that is empty. What would be the best way to store my data? If I put it all on the Ext HD, how will Daz know where to look for it/how do I tell it to?

You use the Content Directory Manager, launched from Edit>Preferences>Content tab, to set up your folders in DS- or you can just use right-click in the Content Library pane, right-click on Daz Studio Formats to add a DS native content directory. You select the folder which contains the Data, Runtime, etc. folders. One content directory should never be inside the other. You can freely move content between the content directories, as long as it is in the same place within the directory. Install manager/DIM do care about exact location on disc, however, but once you update the paths (if you wish to - gear icon>Advanced Settings in DIM) you can select items in the Installed tab and reinstall using the current paths (if you kept the zips).
Easiest way of doing this. Copy Daz folder to the drive. Right Click your shortcut>properties change target to where you put your daz folder.
ie my target is in the root directory of my D: drive So my target should look like "D:\Daz 3D\Applications\64-bit\DAZ 3D\DAZStudio4\DAZStudio.exe"
Start in would look like this "D:\Daz 3D\Applications\64-bit\DAZ 3D\DAZStudio4"
Click Ok. If done right you will get no errors. Start Daz up everything should work. Of course the Target drive letter is your target not mine.
