Looking for Cate Blanchette Look Alike Character in Daz Store

in The Commons
Hello all,
Pretty much as the title says. I am familiar with Alatriel over on Renderocity and while that one is very accurate, she's also very expensive. So I am curious to see if there is something available here, even if I have to do some tweaking.
Thanks,
Geo

I always though this character https://www.daz3d.com/genevieve-7 looked like her.
So...we start with Ninive 6 who was Cate Blanchette adjacent https://www.daz3d.com/ninive-6-pro-bundle ala LOTR

We move to Rosie HD for Victoria 6 by Raiya https://www.daz3d.com/rosie-hd-for-victoria-6 who represents Cate around the time of the Aviator:
If you step outside Daz3d, Renderosity has Alatariel for Genesis 8 Female by Sangriat who is full LOTR Cate:
And Hetta who is MCU Hela Cate by Valkarie

Sangriart's shop was 50% reduced twice last month alone. And slightly below $ 10.- is a good price for a great figure. Just wait a bit and check Rendo for when the next sale is going to happen. My guess would be fall/autumn this year, if not earlier.
None of those really look like Cate Blanchett, I see hints of her, but basically no. There is one over at Rendo, can't remember the character name or vendor though, and she definitely looks like the actress.
I think my favorite is the Sangriat one. Here is that iconic image by Kadaj777:

but yes, celebrity recreations created for Poser or Daz Studio are rarely 100% identical to avoid legal entanglements about using a celebrity likeness but they wil;l do in a pinch.
Which leads to the interesting question if one can "copyright" one's look. Wouldn't that imply that one twin can go to court about their identical twin looking ... well... identical? Can a catholic nun go to court because here itentical twin chose to follow a career in the adult movie industry?
And yes, I do think that doing advertisement for these "lookalike" figures would lead to legal problems when the original person's name is used within it. But for me that's probably the only legal problem...
I think another part of the legal problem is exactly what some intend to do with a likeness of a celebrity. I have seen people use said images in adult images and video's, even to the exteme. Just a couple years ago there was a very good likeness of Lucy Liu used in a video with a scene at a prison, she's the only female, get my drift.
Hello All, sadly, I had forgotten to mention that the figure had to be Gen 3 or 8 as I want to make use of the Miellyn outfit by Arki / Shox, mainly for the headdress for Hela. To echo Faeryl Womyn, the examples above don't really fit the bill and even though the second one is marginally there, it is Genesis 2. The first one, not even close the last one, in a similar attempt I want to do, looks more like Natalie Portman forced into the role of Hela.
So it looks like it that the only good one is Alatariel (I misspelled it above), from Renderocity.
Thanks!
Geo
Hmmmm, I have that one and she has some features, but I am not sure if I can tweak her some more. Still a ways off, but changing the skin and eyebrows might work.

I guess I will wait until she goes on sale then.
Thanks!

I believe that Genevieve 7 is supposed to resemble Eva Green. Strangely enough, I know two people who have actually met Cate; I will inquire their opinions of which figure catches her appearance best.
I guess since the rise of DeepFake software 3D figures showing a kind of likeness and doing "adult stuff" are only of minor concern for "celebrities". A 3D figure is - usually - easily recognized, while deep fakes of good quality sometimes make even the celebrities themselves go "Did I really do/say that?"
Go for Sangriart's Figure. I got her. and she amazing!
I have to laugh when you mentioned Eva Green as the figure looks like a mashup between Cate and Eva. Since I have Genevieve anyway I might try her out and play with the morph controls to see what I can come up with.
I have not signed up with Renderocity as of yet, but yeah it does seem like that one is the most accurate one.
Thanks!

I think Sangriant's is the best LOTR era Cate.
You will not get an argument from me in regards to how this one looks spot on. In fact I did know about her before making this post, but 1) Shes on Renderocity and I don't have an account there. and 2) She's pretty expensive.
I don't mind taking a character that is not exact and then using morphs to make her look more like the actress I am after. I have done this several times. A good example is Dejah Thoris from John Carter:
The base character was Alawa:
https://www.daz3d.com/alawa-8
And I used morphs to change her into something that closely resembeled the actress Lynn Collins:
It is obvious that is the very scene I tried to depict.
So I might do this with the Genevieve character, but then again, I might just finally sign up to Renderocity. Lately the freebie page stinks here and Rendo has lots more freebies. So it is worth it to sign up there, if just alone for that.
Oh...and it seems that the creator of Cate on Renderocity had beat me to the punch with the idea I had:
I didn't see this at first because I viewed the figure on a tablet. It was later, yesterday, that I had Alatariel on my main computer and saw that image above. Much of the outfit is from the Bone Conjurer outfit and the headpiece is from Arki's Demon Empress (I think). I can't believe the coinicidence as these items were what I wanted to use for my variant of Hela. So in lieu of that, I might not do the project afterall as I doubt I would top that.
Thanks,
Geo
For 1) it's quite easy to set up an account at Rendo and it can be done without having to pay a cent for it...
And for 2) it has already been stated that the Sangriart figures are in sales a couple times during a year - usually 50% off - and then cost just below $ 10.- which is - imho - quite lowpriced for figures of that quality.
