Fantasy Strategy Table?

... At least, the props to make one, I can do without the table. :p

I'd ideally like to do a render of one of my characters brooding over a strategy table (the genre is medieval fantasy) where different little figurines territories can be seen - you know, like he's plotting for an attack or world domination, that good shit. :p Does anyone know where I could find the prop I'm looking for?

powerage has a morphing fantasy map on a table over at Renderosity, might be worth a look.

Closest thing I know of here at DAZ is Board Games...includes a Risk-like setup: http://www.daz3d.com/board-games

I would go vanilla and use primitives for the tokens, then place scaled down figures on them. This way, you can dress the "minions" however you like. In a similar manner, you can make a board with hex grids like for some RPGs by applying your own texture onto a flat primitive.
