Well this change to the store search snuck under the radar, and can say that it does look good.. smiley

Just tried it. Yes, that is an improvement.

    Tags are still not searchable

It doesn't seem like much of an improvement to me. We were asked what changes we would like to see and all of our requests were ignored. No one said the layout was ugly or it's too slow or give us a staff picks filter. The genres we asked for are still not there. You can't sort by textures/props/environments/characters or any of the base item types. Tags were not added, which really would have solved all the sorting problems. I can understand how some genres might have been controversial, but surely sorting by item type is fine. I don't even care if they don't retroactively go back and give old products type tags, you could add it just to items going forward with minimal effort. Is this the entirety of the search change we were told about or are more changes coming?

I believe there is more, this was essentially phase 1 where a lot of the work was 'under the hood' and now have something to build off of.

    Well, that's good news.

I can understand where you are coming from, there has been many a time I have just been looking for certain things and been frustrated in not finding them.. Hopefully as Jack has said that there is more coming, because while what we have here is a start there is still a very long way to go..

I would love to see a total and complete overhaul of the stores content sorting just like there is in Studio's Smart Content tab.. Which is interesting in how and why the Daz store website was not given similar functionality, when the Smart Content Tab was first released in Daz Studio..

Products we already own are also back in the results, which I think is a good thing, since many (especially older) add-ons aren't properly linked to their requirements in store. A store search is now by far the fastest method to check. Provided the required product is still for sale, ofcourse.

I like the change. But I wish we had something like this in our Product Library. At least, so we can find stuff that's been removed from the store that we own.

There was a thread asking for that last week, but it must have been removed.

I think it's great. I can search for a PA and get a nice listing of everything I've bought & not bought. It would be nice to have a sort filter by "bought & release date" / "not bought & release date", or did I miss it.

This prevents the use of Ati’s browser add on to sort by percentage off, hide PC items or show only what is owned...
