.Here's a recent render I can't believe I forgot to post as it was one that I had a lot of fun doing.
Bought the King Wash set from Dekogon which can be bought here in the store. Bought it because it is
just such an amazing set with such attention to detail and lighting.
Customized a model of a Mazda Protege that I bought. Added a logo because, why not? I'm not reselling
it that way, but it looks so much better in the render with a logo.
I am having a heck of a time however getting the light texture settings to be convincing and right.
Setting up some apartment buildings. Initially set up some textures from photo snaps, but decided to
actually build some windows to render as textures. Then I can use the textures for low-poly buildings and
the windows for the higher poly object versions.
Don't delete the attachment after using the link to place the image inline, if you do there is nothing to display (you will see the cached image, though, unless you do a hard refresh).
@richardhaseltine Yeah, I think I did delete an attachment by accident. Which post was it?
Update: I saw after doing a hard refresh to clear my cache.
Was playing here with SimTenero to randomize a character. He seemed like he belonged in this atmosphere
of the gameroom.
Using the Parkside Loading Bay as a background to play with mixing in some 3D scans.
Working on a few poses from a model as reference and I saw some of the poses in my mind with roller skates. So I went with it.
Arms folded poses are a challenge of course as they naturally involve a lot of flesh deformation in real life
that is more difficult in simple 3d.
Playing albeit roughly with the power of displace maps.
Based on a costume of a model who posed for me yesterday. I created the wings and the ring for the
head. Funny thing is I used a fur texture for the hair wreath and decided to investigate how the fur
worked creating a raised texture.
I used Leather and Fur Iray Shaders
That got me looking into displace maps and eventually on to inspire
the previous post with the buildings which used displace maps.
One thing leads to another.
And lastly a character being worked on who I'm refining the features a bit. Let's call her Flora at this point.
Reminds me of the porch of a house I grew up in.
Used:
A rendering of Adam in the garden.
Eve wandering a different part of the garden
Robot encountering a spider
Using:
Here's the environment used in the above image. Pretty cool house.
Been a while since I pulled off any 3Delight renders. Here's a go.
The Shadows and Highlights were adjusted a bit in Photoshop.
Playing around with the new Feel Tha Funk trying to get that 70's vibe.
Also used Expressive Dancer Poses for Genesis 8 Male
Playing with some birds that I saw on an iron framework at a coffee shop I went to this weekend. I have to cap off
the ends of the tubing as I forgot. Then I need to make some windinig plant vines also around the rusty
wire framework as well.
Some heart shaped glasses made on a whim
Just for grins and as it was cheap, grabbed the Coliseum model. Here are a few gladiators including Underbelly in the arena.
Went all-in and bought the Brooke 8.1 and Beverly 8.1 sets
I tried rendering Beverly as a dancer but the skin seemed a bit too smooth and not gritty enough for that
purpose. So, instead the textures from Fatal Stranger worked a bit better. Good proportions for a belly
dancer and textures that worked also by mixing the sets.
I revisited an old project and had another go this time with Epic Props: Godrays... I think it is at
least an improvement over the last go.
Here is another render from some costume mashups of a lady photographer. I really like one
I recently bought called "Vagabond" something or other... That had many useful clothing props here.
Today I downloaded Holm HD, who intrigued me as an expressive character with unique
and compelling features. Something that surprised me is that when I went to morph the character
expressions, the visemes or phonetic shapes were missing. I wonder which version of Genesis
they disappeared? I have to look... Am I missing something?

Did a few quick renders
Then I decided to go ahead and get a copy of ComicLife inspired by some of SereneNight's pages.
Never used it before but it seems pretty intuitive. So here is a test page. There was no real dialogue,
just an attempt to use the software. Hope to do more.
What a great idea...love it.
Cool scene...
Hey thanks @kenmo.I had to go back and see which scene that was. I think it was the one with the lady
walking past the bench on the street.
You are taking me way back! :)
Also, that hallway was a cool little project to show it doesn't take much geometry to create a dramatic effect!
Another model that was pretty cheap today .. only $6.99 was dForce Empiric for Genesis 8 Males.

Something definitely worth a recommendation.
And for alternate textures: https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-the-empiric-covenant
Did an image for PC Inspiration thing this month using some wetlands plants.

I used some scanned models above, but I think I will do a version using all Daz models since there is a
pretty good pug dog available in the store.
Here is the version in which I replaced the scans with Daz versions. A little different, but I did still swipe
the scarf from the previous scanned dog.
Below: Is this the future of our wetlands?
Picked up Jeb as a character. Was looking for a rough gritty character like in the movie No Country for OId Men.
I realized that I am lacking in my male wardrobing, so I bought Casual Outfits for Genesis 8 Males.
Playing with
