Win 8.1 Pro, Install Manager..

Dear Fellow Daz3D Community,

My brain has finaly melted. I can for the love of god not figure out why this error happens so please help me, so that I can start working with my Daz3D.

I have been fiddling with Daz3D on and off, since ver. 3.0 or something like that, I have had no problems i later versions of Windows, say Vista and Win7, and mostly I have been working on my MacBook Pro (mid 2010), again with no problems.

BUTT (()) lately I desided to move on to my Win 8.1 Pro, -since this machine is much bigger and faster than my Mac, and I cannot afford a new Mac Workstation,- yet just to find out, that when I try using the Install Manager it prompts me with the following -


"Unable to login to the specified account. Verify the email and/or password and try Again"

I've done everything imaginable to the common hacker, but I can't seem to find a way around it so here is my specs..

Asus K55V
Core i7 -3610QM
8 Gig DDR3
nVidia GT630M - 2GB
1 TB - HGST HTS721010A9E630
Comodo Internet Security Premium

    Is this a previously-saved account, or trying to set up an account for the first time in DAZ Install Manager?

    This is a previously saved account, it works fine on the macBookPro, the install manager accepts the login as it should on the mac, I have no problems logging in online via any browser, and it is displayed correctly in the dropDown of the install manager on Windows 8 -"DevAtZummDK"..

    But as mentioned, when trying to login with the install manager on Windows 8, I am prompted with the error displayed above.

    Now, I have cleaned this Windows 8 machine, and even tried installing without any Comodo, Windows Firewall, Windows Defender and what have we being active at all, but the error seems consistently to appear.

    I have a feeling that something is not reset or removed completely, either from \UserName\AppData\ or from the registry in Windows, since the error is not like "this account is already registered on another machine", but more in the direction of "type mismatch / yo butterfingers, did you spell that correctly" -

    With DIM closed, go to C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D\InstallManager\UserAccounts
    and delete the .ini file for the account, then launch DIM and set up the account fresh.
