Animation

I followed the instructions of a couple of articles (tutorials) regarding animating in Daz Studio, and they said, after setting keyframes, going to Render Settings and chooseing Movie instead of Still Image, just pushing the Render button - same as with a still image - would render the movie/animation.

Well, I did that, and instead of rendering, Daz Studio opened my Render Library folder - tried it a couple of times.

Help?

Besided setting the Movie option (or series of images) you also need to set the pathway to where you the the movie to go. Depending on what operating systems you're using, you're options are going to vary. If you're on a Mac with anything newer than Mojave, for example, I think you'll need to go with series of images. If you're on Windows and your .avi is going to be over 4 GB, you might not be able to use it, depending on software and OS version.

Safest for either OS I've found is to render as a series of images; if you do, I believe you'll also need need to set the root name for the series of images.

If you need more help, let us know what system you're using.

    Good luck,

Thank you, Walt Sterdan. I found out what it was: I hadn't put a title to the avi. Never thought  that wouild cause a problem.

Your advice about seperate images is good - I appreciate it.
