Skin Texture For Creatures

i wanted to give a surface a skin like appearance for example create a puppy with no fur. in the shop i could only find shader packs that have leather shaders but they are all a bit too rough. does anyone know if there is something similar but with real looking skin? is there a good way to make a surface look like believable skin yourself without the need of a lot of skill?

Skin is a very complex material with skin on different parts of the face and body having subtly different properties so I think you might struggle to find a generic shader that could be applied to any model to create real looking skin.
