g8 wardrobe not showing

is there a new change update being worked on for genesis 8 and studio in general? When I load a g8 fig in the smart content the only sub menues that show are animations, cameras, light sets. lights, materials, poses, render settings, shaders, shaping, and utilites - BUT theae sub menues hardly have any if any content showing. But everything shows up if I have a g 8.1 character selected. This is only affecting the females When I installed some new products bought think saw a few updates as well

    Those are, to avoid possible confusion, categories not menus. Try reinstalling the Genesis 8 Starter Essentials, I think a product with incorrect metadata may have messed up the compatibility settings (which govern what shows in Smart Content).

    YES thatt fixed it thank you. I've read in other threads of loading problems, morphing shape errors and other problems where you and others have suggested reinstalling starter essentials and it's worked why is this and how does it fix these various problems might be interesting subject on how studio functions.

    Oh something else sometimes studio wont start up and to get it running again had to restart my computer that sometimes happened with my previous version of paintshop pro a lot of times I think it is caused by windows updates or close to when there are updates coming which think causes havoc as it sorts of high jacks my computer and glitches studio either start ups, rendering or even setting up a scene,  and other stuff till I update and restart. I'm running W10 Pro

    One reason that Studio won't open could be that you recently closed it and it hasn't shut down completely yet. Sometimes you have to wait a couple of minutes before you start Studio again.

    There have been a few products recently which seem to be changing the identity of the base figure, so when it is selected in the scene the system doesn't think the other items are compatible with it and doesn't show them - reinstalling reinstates the base ID so everything works again.

    a possibillity sometimes yeah doesn't shut down properly
