Technical question about sun/sky mode en Iray

Hello everyone,

I've tried using the sun/sky only mode en Iray for dawn or dusk renders, but as soon as the sun is close to the horizon I can't get rid of a strange green haze.

Does anyone have a tip to get around the problem ?

Thanks in advance !

Try SS-Blue-Red Tint (either way), add a little SS Haze, maybe decrease SS Saturation (seems more effective with Blue tint).

Do you have Show Finite Sphere ticked? If you do then untick it as it adds a rainbow coloured layer to the sphere.

Thanks, but for now it doesn't work.

It seems that the yellow tint of the sun light mixes with the sky's blue and becomes green, something like that.

Do you have an example picture and a picture of your settings?

...I tried a number of elevation and azimuth settings using the Sun Dial and the sky remains "natural" looking even at extremely low angles (like -7).

I am using pretty much the environmental defaults with the following tone map settings:

ISO of 64, F/stop at 8 shutter speed at 75 - 100 (depending on the sun elevation) and saturation value of 1.4 .(used to be a photographer who preferred Kodachrome and Ektacrhome 64 for its colour richness).

ETA, forgot the attachments and to mention I also used a bit of vignetting.

    Image 1, sun elevation 25%

    Image 2, sun elevation 6%
