Is there a way to animate render settings?

Hello there!

So we now have the Environment Options and Tonemapper Options which were originally only found in the Render Settings tab in the scene hierarchy. When I first noticed this change, I was hoping this would allow me to animated the settings, but so far that still does not seem to work. Or maybe I am missing something here, and that's why I am asking.

Specifically, when performing an Iray Sun/Sky render, I would like to change the Time of Day and Dome Rotation parameters over the course of the animation. Is there any way to currently achieve this? If not by built-in means, maybe a plugin I have not yet heard of?

Theoretically, you could set a distant light as the sun node and animate that.

Yes, that's pretty much what I have done so far. Only in most of my other renders, I use Iray Sun/Sky and it would be a lot more convenient, if I could just animate these settings rather than try and immitate them with my own sun object.

It would be more convenient for sure, but I'm not aware of any other way to do it.
