Can you lock an object from moving?

I combined two hair to get a certain look. One of the hair had to be stretched on the x axis about 30% more. At rest it looks fine. Whenever I twist or side-side the lower, upper neck or the head, the scaled hair flies/stretches away and does not fit. Bend works fine. I locked all properties in parameters but it did nothing. Any tips?

If they're fit to the head, they'll still be affected my changes to the figure. If you parent then to the head rather than fitting, you'll have less to worry about, but you also won't get the benefits of fitting.
Holy cow, that's brilliant, bypass the characters skeleton rig....palm to face... you don't know how many hours I've spent remorphing hair in blender when this...!!!
Thank you Gordig!! I changed the hair's parent from the figure to the figure's head. Didn't change the fitting. It works normally now.
