Magic Fields Forever

At first glance of Magic Fields Forever's thumbnail, my heart leapt because I was hoping it might also contain some textures that approached Gustav Klimt's more symbolic paintings. It didn't, but maybe someone might offer an add-on at Renderosity. More likely, I'll have to make them myself since the product is placed far back in the What's Hot places category and may not offer the commercial returns to justify an add-on. Here are examples of some of the patterns I hoped for:

Mine too! But more in regard of general impressionist type of possibilities. The information in the description was so scarce I did not pull the trigger on this one as I couldn't really figure out how easy it would be to customize it with shaders and the like. Have you played around with it and come to a conclusion? With the current options included in the package I feel the options are a bit too limited for me.
@BlueFingers I'm waiting to purchase it in case Daz offers a 10% off your cart or any other promotion that might be effective on New items. But I'm definitely getting it before it loses its 30% off introductory price. I'll show the results at that time.
Would it be possible to take props flattened into 2d or planes cut into shapes, use fabric and metal shaders and layer them over a screen to achieve the effect of those painting?
@memcneil70 Eureka! I was thinking duplicating props and using transparencies, but that sounds like an excellent (better) idea. Thanks, Ms. Mary!
You are welcome kind Sir!
The product caught my eye with its gorgeous colours, but I think I wouldn't know what to do with it!
When I first saw the product thumbnail I thought it was just a background or something until I looked at the product page and in particular the clay render and that when I finally understood what it is... it's actually a pretty brilliant idea and definitely would work really well for creating dreamy/trippy images (think stuff like Coraline)
I hope more textures are eventually offered for this product.
Same. But I think it's a lovely idea. I will definitely be picking it up and also hope for more textures.
I was hoping the PA would jump on the forum to give a bit more background info, I have no idea how heavy on resources this is, how customizable, and if you can easily "Instanicify" it. Is there away to contact Oskarsson, or does anyone know the PA?
You could try a sitemail on Renderosity.
@xyer0, I bought this product this morning and as I added some more categories to it, I stared at the shapes and remembered this thread. Have you looked at Abstract Sets by Nikisatez yet? It as if the PA was making a product to create your objects for you. There are shaders, but just add fabric shaders.
Mary
@memcneil70, Thank you so much, Ms. Mary! I've been in the midst of moving house, and I just got internet back this morning. I will stick Abstract Sets in my cart right now! Bless you for your kindnesses.
You are welcome and I hope you find all objects and there are no 'in a box' moments in the future!
Does anybody have a quick side view or angled view clay render of this? Do to the nature of the materials I can't quite tell what is in the scene other than what I see from the top-down view. Thanks!
I hope this helps:
yes, thank you!
Glad to help :-)
Can't Resist But ain't it StrawBerry Fields (; giggls
I didn't buy it but that is screaming for some alternative textures sets of leaves etc
(I didn't because I am pretty sure I could make something similar myself too)
These are Magic Fields renders I've made in the past.
Thank you , @barbult, for sharing. That reminds me: I've NEVER used Eva 8. I'd better get to work on a Fields Forever render.
