Bell

One silly little feature that would help me is a bell. A button I can press that makes a little chime or something. Doesn't that sound ridiculous?

But sometimes when I am working through a lot of files, loading and changing something and loading again.. I don't want to just sit here looking at Daz doing not a lot.

If I click on something the program waits until it has finished sorting itself out and then executes the click.

If that something was a bell I could load the scene, click on the bell and Daz would chime when the scene was loaded. I could then put my book down and do my bit.

LOL, I thought at first you wanted a bell for a scene! But as I read, I realised you wanted that alert of a process completed. Totally agree this would be nice. A soft chime. Great idea.

That would drive me nuts, LOL. Then again, the only thing that takes any amount of time for me is the render and I am usually doing something else at that time.

If someone knew anything about programming, they could use the DS SDK and create something like this, the sound is in windows already.

  • I don't mean every process. It would work fine (and probably best) just the way I said. A little button. Or anything you could map to a shortcut. Something that only happens when you trigger it.

Just something that adds a sound task to the Daz queue.

If you press the button when Daz is thinking, you then get a chime when it finishes. Bing!
