Genesis 8.1 Materials Character Materials are not loading

What would cause the materials for Genesis 8.1 characters not to load? 

when I load the base figure of Genesis (female) 8.1 the default materials load...however, if I apply the materials from an 8.1 character or load an 8.1 character from scratch the only material that loads and renders are the eyelashes...nothing else. What gives?

The new Genesis 8.1 figures mostly use the new iray PBR Skin Shader and it only works in DAZ Studio 4.15 and newer.  Maybe that's the problem?
