Lights for interiors

Hello,

I am looking for some good and easy to use lights to use inside. In this particular scene Boxing Club https://www.daz3d.com/boxing-club. There are render setting included but it took ages to render it. Is there anything nice I could use it?

in carrara would use a shape light, a panel or a tube.  the ring light is good for a whole room.

The lights might not be the reason it is taking so long to render. Instead, you could try hiding or deleting anything that is not seen be the camera (deleting saves more memory). Reducing the size of textures also speeds things up. For this, I use scene optimizer. https://www.daz3d.com/scene-optimizer . For lights, I would recommend ghost lights by kindredarts, or maybe thier Iray light probe kit. https://www.daz3d.com/iray-light-probe-kit https://www.daz3d.com/iray-ghost-light-kit-2

Just because they have supplied render settings doesn't mean you can't change them :) You could try turning some of the lights down or off, redo the surfaces and turn the glossiness down and check the displacement settings.

I also recommend Scene Optimizer, it's really a great tool. Ghost lights too but you can make your own quite easily: Create your own Ghost Lights

There is also this: https://www.daz3d.com/interior-light-pro-for-filament-and-iray . It has a camera with special planes parented to it that make everything behind them invisible. This will cause walls and anything behind the camera to disappear in Iray, letting in the light of the hdri. It includes many hdris.

Id place a low-res HDRI, eg this one, and then cut off as much as you can with IRAY section planes.

Right now if I am using render setting includes it will take 10 times longer to render than when I don't use it and I just hide ceiling so natural light is used.

I really like the Pro Studio HDR Lighting System, even with scenes. Another one I use is the DA Real World Lighting. I just hide a wall or the ceiling.  Both of those light sets render at a nice speed.

Closed spaces will always render much longer than open spaces, no matter what lights you choose.
