What Happened To Bi-Weekly Freebies???

I have been checking the freebie page often, I have been checking the threads about freebies, and so far I have not seen a single definitive response from anyone at Daz, such as our wonderful Daz helpers Jack Tomalin and Jessica (sorry if I spelled your name wrong). It's been over a month since the freebies page has been updated. Are you changing how often you give these freebies, have you stopped them all together, did someone fall asleep on the job? These questions need answering, well maybe not the last one cause no company want's to admit that.
Some information about what is happening with the bi-weekly freebies would be very nice.

In the past, the regular freebies have been sort of replaced temporarily by different freebies that are part of the current big sale. There have been many freebies for members during this PC+ sale.

Yes they are. There are a selection of free items in that section EVERY week. The just don't change every week. So my statement is correct. They are there EVERY week.
Quite correct, the ones currently offered have been there EVERY week for over a month. And that's precisely the OP's point. The name needs changing, I feel it's false advertising to call them "Weekly Freebies". Reflect what they really are, replace weekly or remove them.

Close. I was raised by a lawyer so all the semantics come very easily to me.
Meanwhile, the Chip Supersuit was pulled from the perma-freebies so it could be used as a PCFAD...
I was just looking at both the PCFAD & Weekly Freebie pages - Chip Supersuit & several of the unicorn add-ons are on both pages
They sell a ton of stuff that was once free.... Kind of annoying, especially when it spent a lot of time being free and wasn't just a one-off offering.
Well, it appears the freebies have been changed about. I couldn't know if it was triggered by this thread or not, not being in the know & all, but it's interesting.

In the past the regular freebies have not been replaced temporarily by different freebies that are part of any sale.
In the past Daz offered freebies every two weeks and had nothing to do with current sales or PC memberships.
In the past you would get characters, clothes and props, sometimes even bundles and if not current, they were somewhat current.
This latest batch of freebies all require you to purchase something else in order to use it, except the lights and the fantasy banquet, which they pretty much keep offering every month or two. There's also the fact they freebies are all quite old.
Richard I believe you are right and they were changed because of this thread. I guess unless you're a PC member or part of that Season Pass or part of NFT's then the company doesn't really care about you and that feeling has been getting stronger with each passing year, lately.
As has been said, they should just change what is on the front page banner from Weekly Freebies, to what it is on the page itself and that is Daz3D Freebies, which has me wondering why they keep it like it is as the freebie rotation is definitely not weekly..

Is it me, or lately they are too... specialized? Like, all those "Star" things or "IDL for Poser".
I feel like there were more "universally interesting" ones some months earlier :)

Its cost effective. Each new character in the banner costs X amount and to have a new banner made would be pretty costly... besides, people are familiar with the old banner and would become confused and possibly panic if it was changed... this could lead to riots and possibly the collapse of civilization as we know it...

Or it's like when a store gets a new owner and the new business doesn't change the sign because it's too much trouble... maybe they are waiting for the banner to get too weathered and rusty and then they'll make a new one when they have to...
A few years back, DAZ had a bunch of ads and banners that said "A New Freebie Every Day", but after a few months that changed, but the banners and ads remained for a couple of years... eventually all the letters fell off in a storm and DAZ decided to make new ones.
Freebies used to be more useful. Sure, there were a lot of texture packs; but there were better items, too. And I certainly appreciate a lot of Daz freebies, but these seem like placeholders. It's sort of of like how PC+ freebies will help you fill out your collection of plant life.

I do miss them. Now only Rendo, Share and some art sites like Deviant have community made freebs, but I miss the official ones from here (apart from the Christmas event). Hope they return some day.
