Am new to Daz Studio.
Am interested in converting my V4 textures to Genesis 2 Female.
The question is will the hair made for V4 fit G2F?

For prop hair (hair that isn't rigged to follow other bones of the figure than the head) you can just parent the hair to the head and adjust the scales & rotations. Add a smoothing modifier to the hair to get a good fit to the scalp without parts of the hair sinking into the scalp.

For longer hair, if parenting isn't giving you the look you want, you need to conform it using Autofit. You need http://www.daz3d.com/victoria-4-for-genesis-2-female to autofit from V4 to G2F (this also provides the UV set to use V4 textures on G2F).

fixmypcmike, one thing I forgot to ask is will the V4 poses become obsolete if i convert V4 textures to G2F?

Depends on what you mean by poses. If you mean the material presets that are in Poser's .pz2 format and under Poser Formats/[your library]/Pose they will have to be applied either to V4.2 or Genesis then saved as DS format .duf material presets that can be applied to G2F. The same is true for M4 to G2M presets. Posing .pz2 presets will work somewhat but do to changes in rigging and joint limits will need adjusting, in many cases a lot of adjusting.

Thank you jestmart for your advice.
I now feel its too much effort to convert V4 textures to G2.

If time and convenience if more important than money DraagonStorm has a number of scripts for sale to streamline many of the conversions in Studio.
